Sudan, province of Aljazira, nowadays - When Muzamil was born, a prophecy by the holy man of the village predicts that he will die when he is 20 years old. Muzamil’s father cannot stand the doom and leaves home. His mother Sakina raises him a god-fearing boy, hoping that his morally impeccable life will change this prophecy. Muzamil obeys, but the closer his twentieth birthday approaches the greater the doubts and temptations become.
